Cooking Wahoo For the First Time

Here are the directions and instructions on how to cook wahoo fish.  We caught some wahoo a few years ago down in Mexico, and we had heard that it was one of the best fish to cook up, so that is what we did.  And boy did it taste good.  As well, it is so easy for cooking, you are for sure going to love the taste of this fine white flesh fish.

If you already have the wahoo cut into a fillet, then take the fillet and cut it into pieces that are 1 1/2 inches lengthwise.  Then, what you can do is simply get a small bowl of flour out and lightly dip the wahoo fillets into the flour.  That is pretty much it.  All you have to do is cook the fish now.  What we did, is we used a regular old frying pan and put in some melted butter.  Turning the heat on and then frying up the fish until the outside is a nice color of brown is all you need to do and then the wahoo is ready to eat.   That’s how easy it can be to cook really good tasting wahoo relatively quickly without getting to technical and complicated.

Another technique that we also tried was we got some vinagrete salad dressing and put it on the wahoo fillet.  Then we did the same process of dipping the fillets into the flour and then frying them up.  This was also really tasty and added some different flavors to the wahoo fish.
